Beautiful Saturday

It was a beautiful morning. Woke up early, do all the normal weekends chores and then quickly get ready for a day of......SHOPPING!!! Yes, have to shop for Christmas presents. And our (me and Derek) destination is IKEA->IKANO->Curve and 1U. Have to get presents for my sis and bro-in-law,Aunty Elaine and Uncle Chong, Kenneth, James and m parents. I went to his house and hang out there for a while before going off to our first place IKEA. It's still early so there's not much people/cars. Lots of empty parking spaces but still people like to park at places where it's clearly written 'No Parking'. Sigh...just for their conveniences. Bought half of the gifts here @ IKEA. We had lunch here. Expensive meatballs and Swedish sausages. The Curve has nothing much in it as it's still new. Then went over to 1U and bought the rest of the gifts. It was so jam- packed that we had to park @ the rooftop. After completing our mission, we went back to his place for some rest and then went out again to catch a movie- Ocean's Twelve. Good movie because it has Brad Pitt in it.....he he he...Grab some burgers @ McD before heading home....That's a great Saturday spent. Wish I have more days during the weekends. 2 days is certainly not enough.....Don't you agree?

Things we do...

Sometimes we do things eventhough we know it's totally wrong and illegal. Things that are spontaneous, dangerous, fun and risky. Things that can jeopardize us, our relationships or career...Yet, despite all that, we still do it. Yes, just admit it....Bet all of you have done something that you can't share with anybody else except your partner-in-crime (if there's any). It's totally cool to do something outrageous once in a while. Quoting one of my close friend, 'We need to be rebellious sometimes. Break the rules, break free.' So, do not worry too much if you've done something illegal, just be smart enough to cover the trail....he he he....

Ooooppsss....

Oopppsss....Typo in one of the blog entry's subject. Instead of Raya 2005, it should be Raya 2004....

Bukit Merah

Had a trip to Bukit Merah Laketown resort on Saturday. Started our journey around 730 am and reaching there 1130 am. Exactly four hours, as planned. The Palm View apartment is small. Not really comfy and definitely not recommended. It was not a good room also as we had noisy neighbors who slept late at night and woke up early in the morning. Well, the first day we went to Ecopark and Orang Utan Island. Had lots of fun. I got up close with orang utan and had my pic taken with a snake. Food there is expensive and it totally sucks. Second day, went to waterpark which is so small. But it’s suitable for people like me who doesn’t know how to swim as most of the water level is below 1.5m. Had rashes on both my arms again (just like when I went to Sg Bil) and I found the source of this- my sunblock lotion. I’m allergic to it. But the first time I used it (during the Pangkor trip a year ago) was ok. Hmmm…..maybe kept it for too long….Anyway, RM 100 per pax is worth the trip, minus the crappy food and accommodation.

Raya 2005

It’s a tradition that every year we go to Mai’s house for Raya. This year is no exception. Most of us reached around 8pm on Friday night and immediately started munching on various types of kuih/ biscuit while waiting for the main course. It was a fun night with good food and lots of laughter. Thanks Mai and minta maaf for making a mess with all the bits and pieces of kuih on your carpet….he he he….
Enjoying the food.... Posted by Hello

Busy busy busy

It's been a while since I update this blog. Have been quite busy lately. I changed job again! No surprise, I guess. Have been with 3 companies since leaving ALSTOM and finally I think I've found one that I like. I'm with IBM now in Cyberjaya. IT job and the environment is good although a bit too far from home. Travelling alone is so boring.....
I was in Singapore last week for training. It's a great exposure as I went there alone-my another colleague went and came back on another day. Staying alone in the hotel is errr....ok....I slept with the radio on all night though….Colleagues there are very nice and friendly. Brought us around and introduce great places to eat and hang out. Not that ‘kiasu’, it seems. Had a nice trip and experience.
And then, every weekend since he came back, I was out most of the time. Traveling here and there to hang out and makan. Arrrggghhh…I going to get fat…..Going off to Bukit Merah this Saturday. Sigh….my mum is mumbling that I do not spend much time at home. So, will definitely update more when i have time.

Phew.....

It all started last Thursday. Body temperature very unstable, shivering all day in the office, fingers numb from the coldness...Tempted to take MC but did not because I was on EL on Wednesday. Had a high fever when i went to the doc that evening. Even the doc and nurse was surprised that i did not consult them earlier. It was such a suffering experince. Doc said to rest for 2 days and come back to do a check up for dengue. And the following few days was terrible. Fever on and off and sometimes feel so down i cried a few times to my mum. Up till today, I still feel a bit woozy due to the medicine and I've actually lost quite some weight due to lost of appetite.
Those few days made me realise that health is very very very important. Not only me, myself sufferring, I've put my family through it especially my mum. She's the one who wakes up a few times at night for my medication. She's the one who put cold towel on my head when my fever is high, she's by my side all the while. I'll never want to put her through all that again. I also realise tha love and TLC is what I needed most through those few days. Thanks mum for being there for me. You're the one who stood by me through good and bad and i promise to treasure every moment with you and our family.

Weekend breakaway

16th October

8.30am

kick-started our journey with a hearty ‘dim sum’ breakfast at Tmn Connaught
9.30am
started traveling to Alor Gajah- did some road racing with Jo An….(no lar just kidding…..my small lil’ Kenari where can fight her Matrix lah)
11.00am
reached Alor Gajah and allowed to check-in early in Beverly Hills Condo in A Famosa Resort- the place is similar to a deserted town with bungalow units in a pathetic state and a lot of empty land. Loitered around the apartment and started to make ourselves at home. Ate a lot of junk food and not forgetting the delicious ‘duku langsat’
12.00pm
decided to go for the safari even though the fare is a whopping RM35/ pax. Damn expensive. But personally, it was a nice experience. Got up close and personal with lots of animals- goaty, camels, parrots, eagle, elephant and best of all we got to ride an elephant…woooohoooo…..and yeah, the ‘cowboy’ show…so silly until we can’t even laugh or be amazed….hmmm….but there’s a handsome ‘red-indian’….*thumbs up*
3.00pm
went back to apartment to refresh ourselves….no lah, actually we were tired after the bumpy safari ride….sign of old age?
4.00pm
started our trip to Melaka town
Mission: find good food for dinner (nyonya food or portugese food with ‘cendol’ and ‘satay celup’ or ‘ikan bakar’) and to buy lots of suff @ Tan Kim Hock.
Got lost around Melaka Town because we are on the other side of the river. Stopped two times at petrol stations to ask for directions. A good Samaritan (whom Foong Ling said is so cool and attractive) guided us from there straight to the fort. There are still a lot of good people around….Bought a lot of stuff from Tan Kim Hock and even met him in person. Then it’s ‘makna’ time.
1st stop- Nyonya food @ ‘Ole Sayang’
2nd stop- Satay Celup on the same street
3rd stop- Cendol and other delicacies – near Jonker Street

Mission: accomplished.
9.00pm
reached Beverly Hills. Skipped Cowboy Town because there’s nothing there and need entrance fees. We felt so full but ate some more junk food in for supper while playing Uno and take turns taking bath.
12 ++ pm
Sound asleep except Chai Yee who stayed up till the wee hours watching tv.

17th October

8.00am
walked around the clubhouse with the intention of playing some sports but did not achieve anything because most of the facilities need a certain fee. Instead, went back to the apartment and have breakfast of cup-mee and more junk food. After eating, some went for a nap- yeah, that’s how unhealthy we are but hey, we’re on holiday. Suppose to relax more, rite?
11.00am
with nothing much to do, we decided to check-out and enroute to Seremban to eat ‘siu hai’ but to our disappointment restaurants only opens @ nite. Sigh….Thanks to Kong’s friend we had lunchie @ a well-known shop selling the famous Seremban ‘siu pau’ and other very very nice tarts and puffs….Yummy….
2.00pm
started our journey back to KL. Me- feeling a bit tired and got a bit of flu with a nice memory……And the next day will be my first day at my new job…..

Lean on me

Lean on me- Bill Withers

Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain, we all have sorrow.
But if we are wise, we know that there's always tomorrow.
Lean on me, when you're not strong and I'll be your friend.
I'll help you carry on, for it won't be long 'til I'm gonna need
somebody to lean on.
Please swallow your pride, if have things you need to borrow.
For no one can fill those needs that you won't let show.
You just call on me brother when you need a hand.
We all need somebody to lean on.
I just might have a problem that you'll understand.
We all need somebody to lean on.
Lean on me when you't not strong, and I'll be your friend.
I'll help you carry on, for it won't be long 'til I'm gonna' need
somebody to lean on.
You just call on me brother if you need a friend.
We all need somebody to lean on. I just might have a problem that you'll understand.
We all need somebody to lean on.
If there is a load you have to bear that you can't carry.
I'm right up the road, I'll share your load if you just call me.
Call me ( if you need a friend)

We need someone to lean on sometimes. Someone to share your worries and uncertainties. Somebody who knows our streanghts and weaknessess. Someone who'll be there to share laughters or tears.

All my love and thanks to those who have been there for me in times of need...Million thanks....

Catch me if you can

Watched another Tom Hanks' movie the other day. It was a nice movie about the real life story of Frank Abagnale Jr, a famous conman in the 60's. The character is played by Leonardo Dicaprio. Tom Hanks' role in the movie is not real. Purely created for the movie. For more details on the movie and the truth behind it, click on the link attached. http://www.chasingthefrog.com/reelfaces/catchmeifyoucan.php

Tom Hanks

Watched The Terminal and The Ladykillers these past few days, both starring Tom Hanks. One thing for sure, Tom Hanks's never fail to make me cry or laugh. He can potray all his characters so well. Who can forget the unforgettable Forrest Gump, or the FEDex-castaway or even his ball-Wilson....He's such a great actor. *thumbs up* for both his latest movies. One of my fave actor of all time...

Broken Hearted Me
Anne Murray
Written by Randy Goodrum

Peaked at #12 on the pop chart in 1979 and was a #1 on the Country chart.

Every now and then I cry
Every night you keep stayin' on my mind
All my friends say I'll survive
It just takes time

CHORUS

But I don't think time is gonna heal this broken heart
No I don't see how it can if it's broken all apart
A million miracles could never stop the pain
Or put all the pieces together again
No I don't think time is gonna heal this broken heart
No I don't see how it can while we are still apart
And when you hear this song
I hope that you will see
That time won't heal a broken-hearted me

Every day is just the same
Playin' games, different lovers, different names
They keep sayin' I'll survive
It just takes time

CHORUS

Time won't heal a broken-hearted me

Resident Evil

Well, having played all RE1 to RE3, I’ll definitely not miss any RE movies (rumours have it that the third movie is on the way). Sad to say though, that both movies are not quite up to their standard but they are well worth watching if you are an ardent fan of RE. Cool actions, cool creatures (I like the ‘lickers’) and cool chicks (I prefer Alice than Jill). Some of the characters are created just for the movie while some are taken from the game. RE is one of the most popular games for its genre. The plot between each game is well planned and one can expect some twists and turns throughout the games. After watching the movie, feel like want to play the games all over again (though some are exclusive for Nintendo and PSs)…..

Dilemma, dilemma and dilemma

I've changed job again, from NTT to now as a IT Assistant in Zulrafique and Partners. The job scope is really what I'm looking for all this while. Purely IT. Managing servers, users support, troubleshooting....But....the package is not really good and I do not see future growth here. So, got another offer from UOB (courtesy of Foong Ling and Su Ching). Package is good. But...not It line. Should I or should I not change again? Sigh....

Walking down memory lane

I was ransacking through my junks just now. Yeah, things I collected more than 10 years ago. It sure brings back a lot of nice memories during my preteen years to my teenage years to now. I read the cards I received (yes, those days, e-cards are still not 'in' yet), read the old autograph book and it's sure is funny looking back at what we used to think. Those were the days. There's nothing to worry about (except exams). During primary school, we used to visit this small cineplex in Tmn Connaught. Sometimes, there are nobody at all except me and my friends. I remembered that we sometimes 'ponteng' all those dreaded society meetings on Saturdays and went to the playground or a friend's house instead. Naughty leh....Back then, I used to be all over one of the 'Four Heavenly Kings'. It's silly spending all those unnecessary money.....

We've grown so much since those days. Now, responsibilities are setting in. There's so much to think about and so much to do (or wish to do). But life is to be enjoyed. 10 years from now, I want to be thinking back of today, smiling and remembering all the good times I've had....

PGL

Now before all of you start wondering...PGL stands for Puteri Gunung Ledang....Yeah, I did something I've never done before yesterday. I went for a movie ALONE!!!! Feeling a bit bored after interviews so I decided to go for a movie- PGL. Not bad for a local production. Reminds me of the legend of King Arthur, Guinevere and Lancelot. IMHO, Tuah sholdn't have even thought of giving up on Gusti Putri. She came all the way from Java and waited for him, alone, up in the mountain. She sacrifices so much. They should just elope to a place far far away than to sacrifice their love for the silly Sultan. It's such a sad ending. As a summary, love should precede above all and I watched a movie all by myself.....Ha ha ha...

Word of the day: Ubiquitous Computing

An IT environment in which anyone can access from anywhere at any time. The word 'ubiquitous' is from the Latin language and means "existing everywhere at the same time". It was advocated by Mark Weiser as "Ubiquitous computing", where a person uses several computers. Previously only a concept, the development and popularization of IT technology is making it a reality.

Hungry Ghost.....

Yesterday was Hungry Ghosts’ Festival…. There’s a big show @ Tmn Connaught till late @ night. Noisy. As usual, helped out with the ritual. Burned incense, candles, money and other stuff as an offering to those wandering spirits, which is set to roam free the entire of this 7th mth of the lunar calendar…. Speaking of hungry ghost, there might be one in ALSTOM as there are complaints about food gone missing from my ex-colleague's small fridge under his table and one can hear strange noises if you work till quite late.....Hmmm....

Energetic?

It has been a busy, busy week last week. From work to exhibitions to seminars to classes…The week started off as usually. Me complaining about how bored I am in the office, nothing to do but to read about the services and products, prospecting customers, blah blah blah….Really boring. Then came Wednesday, where the DMEC exhibition started in Shangri La. Have to help out. Thursday is worst because I need to be on duty for the exhibition- the whole day. My legs are like rubber by the end of the day. So, what did I do there? Smile, hand out brochures, handout free gifts, and explain about our company. Hmmm…And then have to rush off to classes on both days. Tiring….Friday is hectic. Seminar in the morning @ PJ, rush off @ noon to Cyber for site surveying and then off to another seminar in KL and then rush home for a part time job. Phew….But surprisingly Friday I was still so energetic after a long day. I watched TV till 1 am, then woke up Saturday morning @ 4am to do something….And still not sleepy the next day….

Movies review.....

When my connection was down for a day or two last week, I managed to finish a very important task. A task which I have been putting off for quite some time because I was too busy 'exploring' the net. The task is...(drum roll pls...) finish watching a few movies!!!(which I got from....-you know i know lah). Just want to share my views on these few movies...

1) King Arthur
Not quite up to expectation....Troy is a lot better......None of the actor stands out in the movie but Lancelot is qute handsome.2 out of 5 stars....

2) 13 going 30
Good movie.....Jennifer Garner is just so charming and beautiful...4 out of 5 stars....

3) Monalisa Smile
Interesting movie...Great cast.....I'll give it a 3 out of 5....

4) The day after tomorrow
Lots of special effects....Cool movie.....3 out of 5

Watched "Garfield" with Foong Ling. Entertaining movie. Odie is so cute. He steals the show. 2 out of 5. And Just yesterday, I watched "Bed of Roses" starring Christian Slater. He is so cute in the movie. The character he plays is just so sweet. I wonder if there is any other guy as romantic as him......I give the movie a 4 out of 5.....

Love

A friend asked in her blog "How do u know when u are in love?"-http://www.su_.blogspot.com/. Interesting topic to be discussed..... How do we really know when we are in love? Is it love when you are so anxious to see that person yet you are nervous to meet him? Is it the adrenalin rush when you finally see him/ her? Sometimes we fell in love with the wrong person at the wrong time or place but is there really any rights or wrong to be in love? When you finally found that special person....at times you feel that you might have made the wrong decision but you still love him/ her a lot....So, IMHO, love can't be defined....There is no right or wrong in it....You can't control your feelings and you definitely can't control other people's feeling towards you. You need to experience it and it might not be perfect but that just adds more spices in it. ;-P

Ambition

‘Do not betray me’, says ambition.
‘You can be the best in whatever you choose. Because I say you can. You are not going to go with the flow. You are not going to fade into mediocrity. You are not just another student. You have a dream. You have a purpose. And you’ll thank me when you make it.’

The grass is greener on the other side?

16th Aug.....Anxious but nervous at the same time. New job, new colleagues, new challenge....I just hope that I can suit into the environment. I am the only one joining and I know it's going to be tough. So, arrived @ 845am, rang the bell @ 18th flr, UBN Towers and a sweet lady opened the door for me (i learn later on that her name is Fiona). No much people around. Met some of my group's staff...they are ok but a bit difficult to clique with. Some, as usual, very sombong loh....Then, spent the whole day reading and TRYING to understand about the company and it's services.Very blur blur....So, am I happy that I changed job? Hmmmm....hard to say on the 1st day but I definitely missed ALSTOM's environment....So, today is the 3rd day and my conclusion?he grass is NOT always greener on the other side. So, what can I do now? Start everyday with a resolution - to do my best in whatever I am doing....Sometimes there are things you really do not like to do but you just can't quit because of some commitments....so just have to do your best till you find another challenge.....

Wandering mind.....

In class now but mind is somewhere else....thinking of something or someone :-P .....Well, just wanna say that I can't concentrate in class now.Cold and sleepy.

Goodbye ALSTOM

It has been a hectic week...With all the work and handover and farewell lunches.....Finally, it's time to say goodbye to all my colleagues. Although I don't like the job but I've got used to the people around me, the environment, it's sad to leave....Took a couple of nice pics with them. My department went to KLCC for dinner at Aseana. Had a nice time though the food is not very nice food. Planned to watch a movie after that but TGV was out for the nite coz there's not electricity....So, end up going home early. Just in time for Amazing Race....So, Next week will be a brnd new week and a brand new job...Cross my fingers that everything will go smoothly......Goodbye Alstom...I'll miss you all....

Mind your English....

Someone gave me a pack of sour plum from China.....Here are some of the wordings on the package...

- Lovers' Plum: Secretly made by ancient way by inheriting the tradition.

- If you have any different opinion of our product, please kindly post the package of the product to our company or dial our consumer service telephone and advise us. We'll contact you ASAP.

Well, to me it sounds weird and bit funny......What say you?

Missing them.....

It's been quite some time i did not post anything....Been quite busy since I announced my resignation....Colleauges/friends are all asking the same questions- where will I go, where is the new company, why I leave and so on....Then, have to settle things in my new job- open a/c, check up, getting my offer letter, surveying my new workplace.....then, there are things to settle in my current job so I do not leave anything hanging and unfinished....lots of things.....very tired yesterday and today coz there's really a lot to do....Wish I can have a few days off before starting the new job but I can't....Sigh....But nevermind, I'm happy...But then really starting to miss all the ALSTOMers....sometimes they drives you up the wall but we've been through so much.....Miss you all....

Selfish??

I know that from the moment I accept the new job offer, there are a lot of things that I have to give up. And some of these things made other people around me feel disappointed. I am so sorry but I need to think of myself sometimes. We all need to be selfish at one time or another, for our own good.….

New challenge

I've got the job!!!! So happy but nervous at the same time. New challenge for me....IT consultant...Sounds nice eh....At least I'm on the IT track now. I tendered my resignation to Jennie and Arthur. No surprise for them coz I've long hinted that I really want to join the IT line. Have yet to tell Peter, I bet he'll be quite surprise that I have to leave in such a short notice. I'll miss them lar. Although there are some bad times but I've grown a lot here. And not forgeting all the guys (*wink*wink*)  that I've grown quite close to. I'll miss you allll.Don't bully the new secretary, okie?....And my thanks to F&C and HR for all the help that they given....A bit hesitant to leave but I must move on. So, goodbye ALSTOM and here I come, NTT......

Memory....

Went down to 5th floor on Wednesday to collect some files. Reminds me back of last year when we were still there.Lots of good and bad memories. I used to wonder why some things that are not meant to be happened. Things that made us sad and happy at the same time. Things that gives us pleasure and guilt at another time. It's really hard to understand but all things happened for a reason. It makes us grow stronger and more mature. Good or bad, it's how we think of it. It's how we analyse it. So, occasionally, you might be sadden by it but hey...it's in the past....

Presentation time.....

Well, it's finally over. Went for the presentation yesterday. I can say I did ok but then they are only hiring one person so slim chance. Pray hard....

Traffic jam.....

5.10pm on a rainy Friday evening. I started my journey to Informatics for the class. Knew it would be jammed up coz of the rain earlier. Half way thru Jln Pinang, I realized I left my phone in my office drawer. Turned back to office and the second time I left is 5.40pm.  And believe it or not, I reached Informatics @ 7.15pm. A 15-minute journey become a 1 1/2 hr trip. And what caused it? No, not the rain, not flash floods but Malaysian drivers. Yes, drivers that apparently doesn't know what a yellow box is for. I don't really know how people can be so thick skin to sumbat inside the yellow box, knowing that they will not be able to go for the next 15 minutes. Just because of that, I have to watched the traffic light turn green, amber, red, green, amber, red......Other drivers started honking, but what's the use? And for that 1 1/2 hr, there are not a single traffic police in sight. Sigh....driving in KL really is a pain in the ass.....

Scariest Interview pt 2

Holy shit! I just got called for the second interview in NTT-MSC. This time they want a presentation about their products and company. I have to go through the website and then come up with a creative presentation. Should I or should I not go? It's for a sales cum support position. Really have to think through whether it's suitable for me or not. Sometimes just feel like giving up after so many interviews and then it's either they find me not good enough for them or I find them not suitable for me. I think I am really slipping into the comfort zone now. Part of me wants to change job but then the other part is scared of leaving what I have now. What if the new job turns out worst than this one? What if I can't take leave to go to NZ this coming Nov? what if I fail in doing a sales job as I have an introvert personality? This is what risk taking means. Trying something new and not knowing what will happen. I still have a few days to think about it.....

Scariest interview.....

Ai yo...I went to an interview in Cyberjaya yesterday. Company is NTT MSC- Japanese-owned company. So, I was not nervous at first because I went to many interviews before mah. When I go into the room, it reminded me of Malaysian Idol. There are 5 interviewers1 I started to get nervous as two of them were Japanese and when they start asking questions, it was so difficult to catch what they are saying. But then they are very friendly. In fact the local interviewers are worst. Their attitude and they way they asked questions are a bit sarcastic....Anyway, I was lucky because for this interview, I did my homework. I searched about their company and prepare the common questions asked during an interview. Everything went ok but...my handphone rang in the middle of the interview!!! I really forgot to turn it off. So there goes 20% of my marks....So, just keep my fingers crossed.

Starlight Cinema

It's been 1 week i didn't update my blog....Busy lah...Have to study...So, let's see what happended in the past week....Well, I can't think of anything interesting except that I went to Starlight cinema yesterday, Saturday 10th July 2004. Got 4 free tickets so don't want to waste it.
Cool experience....We(me, Poh Wai, Kong and Foong Ling)went about 5 sumting, arriving at Bukit Kiara around 6pm and surprisingly many people are already there. Parking is a big disadvantage as we need to walk VERY FAR to reach the entrance to the cinema. But what the heck, the experience is worth it. We saw that cute guy from 8TV Quickie, whom I do not know the name. Anyway, Mai and Imran suppose to meet us there later but it was so crowded that they can't walk to our spot. Well, there are still a lot of room for improvement.
1) Parking- should open up more parking in the club itself and not all around it.
2) Entrance- should be more organised
3) Toilets- hmmmm.....as usual-Malaysian public toilets but 10x worst
4) Designate walkways to let people go in and out instead of having to step on people's mattresses
5) More food stalls!!!!
6) Ban people with smelly feet and shoes from taking off their shoes....uhhhh....the smell in horrible....

We are very luck that it did not rain and the weather is so cooling. We only stay for the first movie (they are showing LOTR trilogy, BTW). I wouldn't mnd staying till 7am in the morning because I LOVE LOTR!!!! Anyway, it was a well worth experience minus the smelly feet and smoking from some people who doesn't know what NO SMOKING means.
So, a second time if I have the chance? COUNT ME IN!!!

I won!!!!!

I won!!!! I won second prize of a LOTR contest. Although the prizes are of not much use (keychain, characters collectible, mug and the trilogy VCDs-which i already have) but being an avid fan of LOTR, I am so happy!!!! Just hope the VCDs are the extended versions. The news really made my day yesterday....

Dirty Dancing

I could not really sleep last nite, dun know why, so I watched a bit of the movie, Dirty Dancing (downloaded illegally, he he he). Wah, so lomantic lar....Patrick Swayze looks soooooo hot....After watching it, feels like dancing, and dreaming of being in the arms of a hunk like Patrick Swayze....Sweet dreams and till then, Happy July.....

Just a thought....

While driving to the office this morning, I was thinking that it would be nice to have a younger sibling. Someone to call me 'cheh cheh', someone I can send to school/ tuition/anywhere, someone that I can help with their studies or just someone for me to bully. It would be nice also to have a older brother to take care of me.....

Kampung Pt 2

Well, it's 8.10am but i dun feel like want to start work so continue with my trip....When we reached Slim Village, I'm surprised at how small the town is. Just 2 rows or less than 10 shops, a market, and a few rows of houses. My mum says it looks the same as 30 years ago except, houses are not wooden anymore but renovated and built again using bricks. Everybody knows everybody else here. Anything happens will be known to everybody....They are a friendly lot and most of them are my mum's friends....So, we went houses by houses, stopping by to chat and eat fruits and then eat more fruits....It's nice seing all the ladies talk bout their young days....and what happened to whom and gossips....We don't need any lunch coz we are eating so much fruits-rambutans, durians, pulasan...yummy and it's all free....Just pick it from the fruit orchards nearby....Many of them are rubber tappers, so was my mum last time...Now, only the older generation lives there. And I do believe they are rich. They are hardworking when they are young and they know how to save money. We can't find any youngster or teenagers around anymore. Even some are so old, they are still so healthy. No sickness or anything. That's the difference between the older generation and us. Not enuz exercise, unhealthy food, pollution, stress....the list goes on. And they have A LOT of children. I mean a lot like 10, 12 kids. Boy, I salute them. So, when it's time to leave, we were given fruits- yes fruits again...It's happy to see my mum and her freinds reunited after about 30 years. Well worth the trip. We plan to come again and this time maybe stay overnite and we can try tapping rubber also...It'll be fun....

Kampung Pt 1

With less than 6 hrs of sleep, i woke up sharp at 6am tis morning. We're going back to my my mum's vllage today!! I've never been there b4 so, it's quite an experience for me and my sis.We picked up pne of my mum's old friend and we're on our way- destination is Slim Village in Perak. With exactly 1 hr of driving (without speeding lar- coz my mum will blah blah blah if i did), we reached Tanjung Malim. Very small town....We had breakfast there.Yummyyyy and cheap 'yong tau foo' and mee.....Next destination- Sg Bil- where my mum used to visit so often when she was young. The water there is still clean and cold with awesome scenery. Too bad we didn't bring any swimming material...After about 10 mins of driving one small, winding and narrow road, we finally reach Slim Village. Oh yeah, one thing i notice bout small townsan villag eis the people are extremely friendly. We are not very sure of the waya few times and when we asked aound, they are very eager to help with a smile...Don't think city dwellers will be as helpful as that....Yawn....So sleepy an tire now so will continue tomorrow....Time o sleep now....

Sg Bil....a queit and secluded waterfall....just outskirt of Tg Malim and the scenery is breathtaking.... Posted by Hello

So many things to learn and people to know....Good luck Nick...
The haze is back....This morning saw a handsome guy jogging in the city, shirtless....Nice bod but to be jogging here in the city? Isn't it a bit unhealthy? Hmmm....Received a touching mail from a good friend, encouragng me to change job....Find something of my interest and don't waste anymore time...Thanks Nash, I will do my best....Thanks for your support....

Dun feel like going to work today but have to coz engineers coming for training....So noisy in the office and when they left, peace and quiet....Had an eventful day today. Almost had an argument with Finance over the internal processes....So complicated. Sent the phone over to Derek. At 3pm, had an interview at Starbucks, Menara Prime. Nice talking to the Singaporean lady, a recruitment consultant. Then at 5pm, went over to Istana to collect the projector. Had a little chat with the trainer, Mr Sim. Got the vouchers for bfast. He he he...Oh yeah, today while walking back from lunch, saw ths guy picking his noise in his parked car at the roadside. Disgusting. Why people tend to do that when they are idle in the car???
