Doughnuts

Sudden crave for doughnuts sent me walking up and down Pavillion looking for the famous doughnut outlet - J.Co Donut and Coffee (there's also a branch in Curve, Damansara)

Flavours I bought....(in order of preference)

Tira Miss U
(description unavailable)
ps: My personal favourtite with tiramisu cream and coffee powder. Simply yummy...
Alcapone
J.Co's signature product is where a Belgian chocolate meets crunchy Californian almonds. Recie from Rome, almonds from California. Whote chocolate from Belgium and the donut is originally created in Indonesia.
Coco Loco
Here is one great product for the chocolate love-in-you. With dark chocolate inside and utside, nothing else can satisfy your chocolate craving like Coco Loco can satisfy your chocolate craving like Coco Loco.
Mango Blitz
(desciprtion available)
ps: wisest choice for those who doesn't have a sweet tooth. Not too sweet with heavy mango flavor and a bit of cream in the middle.
Cheese Me Up
Made with melt New Zealand cheese on top, not only is this donut double yummy but it's also definitely healthy.
Glazzy
Sweet Honey glazed donut with all the goodness of honey.

Their coffee, latte and ice blended look so tempting.....Will definitely try it next time....

Bali posting

Hmmm....Friends asked why I have not posted anything on Bali...Maybe no inspiration yet....
We took a lot a lot of funny pictures though....Please do visit Cy's and Andy's postings....When's our next trip??

I love Sunday

It was an interesting Sunday last weekend. Bukit Gasing in the morning....Must try trekking 2 rounds next time....Followed by our dose of breakfast at the local mamak. As usual, it's either roti canai or tosai, Malaysia's favourite breakfast.
Had lunch at Quan's Coffee and Ice Cream house in Pandan Indah. I found a new place to bring you guys next time. The food is not bad at all and the environment is nice. Too bad I didn't bring my camera. We ordered Fried Mee Sua, Buttered Prawn rice (Lai Yao) and Fried Abolone Mushroom. Buttered prawn is yummy....
Then, went all the way to Shah Alam's Xian Leng's Aquarium. Didn't know there's such a big aquarium here...Learnt a few tips of how to spot a good arowana and sting ray, thanks to my personal guide....:P
What intrigued me most are the big fishes like Arapaima Gigas, one of the biggest freshwater fish and the Mekong catfish. I have seen Arapaima before and is still very fascinated by it.

Movies and movies....

Movies I've watched these few months....(actually, no idea why I am posting this)

Harry Potter (Luckily, it's not a 3-hour show)
Die Hard (Bruce Willis still rocks and Maggie Q is sexy)
Flash Point (Donnie Yen is yummmyyy....but not enough fighting scene for him in this movie)
Epic Movie (Gross....)
Eragon (Yawnnnn....)
Vacancy (Pretty good effort but towards the end it's a bit sickening)
Simpsons (Doh...)
Rush Hour 3 (Funny...)
Evan Almighty (I like this one....Tries to send a meaning to the people to protect the environment)
Dream girls (Nice....)
Ratatouille (Finally watched it yesterday after sooooo long)

Coming up:
- Hair spray
- Lust, Caution (OMG, Lee Hom!!!)
- Bourne Ultimatum
- Resident Evil

Gum pain, sorethroat and a crime

Came back from Bali........More updates on the trip later....
Terrible terrible gum pain at my wisdom tooth leading to a terrible terrible sorethroat these 2 days...
Decided to take half day to pay a visit to the dentist.
As I was walking past the shoplots, noticed that a few people arguing and then, a guy tried to run away. Few people chased him and tore off his shirt. Then, out of no where, someone fired a gun. I was shocked and everyone around was dashing inside the shops. Luckily I was just outside the dentist's shop. Didn't know what happened after that but a lot of people came out and gathered around. I guess it should be police chasing after a criminal. That's enough action for the day.
Hmmm...As for my tooth, needs to be extracted 1 week from now. Just normal extraction and no minor surgery needed. Thank God for that.
And to that someone who owes me a meal, I can still claim it after my tooth extraction ya....Be prepared. Hehe....

Balut

A balut is a fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. They are considered delicacies of Asia and especially the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, baluts are mostly sold by street vendors at night in the regions where they are available. They are often served with beer. The Filipino and Malay word balut(balot) roughly translates to mean "wrapped". -taken from Wikipedia...
The ironic thing is - I TASTED IT YESTERDAY......yummmyyy....

Happy 50th Birthday Malaysia....

It has been 50 years....Maybe to us younger generation, the term Merdeka does not mean much but to our parents, they can talk hours and hours on the struggle back then. We all should be thankful to live in Malaysia, beautiful country with so many different cultures, races, and foooodddd.....Let's hope that we'll live in peace for another 50 years to come....Happy Birthday Malaysia.....

50 things Malaysia

Supper

McD past midnight....Double cheese burger ...Fries...lots of fries....Sigh...have been indulging in suppers during my last week of night shift....Mamak, waffle and home-made spaghetti.....
Oh, no....I think I am gaining weight *sweat* *sweat*

But I will miss night shift...

Mummy's cooking

I always think that my mum is really one good chef. After 26 years of having her dishes, there is none that I do not like (well, except for those with bittegourd and brinjal)...My resolution this year is to learn cooking from her but until now, sad to say I have not achieved anything. Another 4 months left of 2007. I will try my best to learn as much as possible.....

Wan Tan mee (with big juicy Sui Kao)

Yee Mee...one of my all time favourite

Chilli's revisited

Main reason for a second round of Chilli's - Chocolate Molten cake.....
It was Foong Ling's birthday and we decided that it's time to indulge in the most delicious moist chocolate cake....I'll let the pictures do the talking....With bottomless drinks and unlimited chips, it's really a way to indulge....Even the lamb shank's bone went home with us....:P

Now u see it, now u don't....

Coffee in many different ways....

Tasted some weird kind of coffee lately - Coffee float (kopi o with vanilla ice cream) and coffee with barley....Both tasted....weird...

Lei Cha - Hakka Food

Have you heard of Lei Cha? It literally means grounded tea in Hakka. One of my mum's favourite food, it is hard to get a good Lei Cha nowadays. I do not like the taste that much. Its ingredient are peanuts, long bean, dried tau hu,sesame and vege, all cut to small cube size and mixed with rice. Then, there is the grounded vege soup that you need to add to the rice. It's a very healthy meal but i doubt many of us younger generation will like it....

More on Lei Cha.

Izzi

Attracted to the 50% promotion for Citibank card holders (only if you spent above RM100 in a single bill), we went to Izzi after 2 movies....Quite hungry by then. I would say the food is only quite good. Tasted some better macaroni and chicken wings before. The pizzas are nice though...as well as the spaghtetti carbonara and the Chocolate Pleasure...

The environment
Cheese dough
Asian platter
Spaghetti carbonara
Cheese baked carbonara
Pizza
Chocolate Pleasure

What do you do....

What do you do when you are idling around after a dinner in the Golden Triangle area?
Walk into any Dome, Starbucks, or Coffee Bean and do some 'people watching'...Hehe...A good use of time.

That's what we did after 2 movies, back to back (Harry Potter and Die Hard 4.0) and a dinner at IZZI.

Finally, get to taste the new item on their menu - Espreski...Tasted good but the chocolate chunks tasted funny.
