I can't help but laugh throughout The Last Airbender movie. And by the end of the movie, all I can say is, 'I cannot accept it lor' ->
translate to Cantonese. There are so many cheesy lines and the characters do not really fit in.
Imagine a Commander Zhao potrayed by Aasif Mandvi (who?)
and Princess Yue is played by Seychelle Gabriel (who?)
WTH!
The cast members are all unknown faces except for a few.
The movie is actually based on a hugely successful Nickelodeon animated series. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, I wouldn't recommend this movie. I feel like being conned by the trailer lor....
Quite disappointed. :(
And expect a sequel soon...

1) its a kiddy movie, so cheesy lines are a must :p
2) cartoon-based movies usually suck when they are made into real life movies, x-men, initial d and the list goes on and on and on ...
3) there are 3 seasons for avatar, the last airbender, so its 2 more sequels at the very least.
4) the not so famous cast is ok because if not for new faces, then how does hollywood get new actors? however, some of them are really quite lame for this movie :p
5) if they must perform a dance/air kung fu to bend the elements, just interrupt the movements and the bending will fail XD like the fight scene between aang and zuko, close quarter fights and bending is limited, aang got his ass whooped lol
LOL...thanks for the details...i didn't know it was an animated series until yesterday when I did some google search on it...the effects are ok actually...just that the cast and the actings are a bit...ermmm...:x
