Weekend breakaway
16th October
8.30am
kick-started our journey with a hearty ‘dim sum’ breakfast at Tmn Connaught
9.30am
started traveling to Alor Gajah- did some road racing with Jo An….(no lar just kidding…..my small lil’ Kenari where can fight her Matrix lah)
11.00am
reached Alor Gajah and allowed to check-in early in Beverly Hills Condo in A Famosa Resort- the place is similar to a deserted town with bungalow units in a pathetic state and a lot of empty land. Loitered around the apartment and started to make ourselves at home. Ate a lot of junk food and not forgetting the delicious ‘duku langsat’
12.00pm
decided to go for the safari even though the fare is a whopping RM35/ pax. Damn expensive. But personally, it was a nice experience. Got up close and personal with lots of animals- goaty, camels, parrots, eagle, elephant and best of all we got to ride an elephant…woooohoooo…..and yeah, the ‘cowboy’ show…so silly until we can’t even laugh or be amazed….hmmm….but there’s a handsome ‘red-indian’….*thumbs up*
3.00pm
went back to apartment to refresh ourselves….no lah, actually we were tired after the bumpy safari ride….sign of old age?
4.00pm
started our trip to Melaka town
Mission: find good food for dinner (nyonya food or portugese food with ‘cendol’ and ‘satay celup’ or ‘ikan bakar’) and to buy lots of suff @ Tan Kim Hock.
Got lost around Melaka Town because we are on the other side of the river. Stopped two times at petrol stations to ask for directions. A good Samaritan (whom Foong Ling said is so cool and attractive) guided us from there straight to the fort. There are still a lot of good people around….Bought a lot of stuff from Tan Kim Hock and even met him in person. Then it’s ‘makna’ time.
1st stop- Nyonya food @ ‘Ole Sayang’
2nd stop- Satay Celup on the same street
3rd stop- Cendol and other delicacies – near Jonker Street
Mission: accomplished.
9.00pm
reached Beverly Hills. Skipped Cowboy Town because there’s nothing there and need entrance fees. We felt so full but ate some more junk food in for supper while playing Uno and take turns taking bath.
12 ++ pm
Sound asleep except Chai Yee who stayed up till the wee hours watching tv.
17th October
8.00am
walked around the clubhouse with the intention of playing some sports but did not achieve anything because most of the facilities need a certain fee. Instead, went back to the apartment and have breakfast of cup-mee and more junk food. After eating, some went for a nap- yeah, that’s how unhealthy we are but hey, we’re on holiday. Suppose to relax more, rite?
11.00am
with nothing much to do, we decided to check-out and enroute to Seremban to eat ‘siu hai’ but to our disappointment restaurants only opens @ nite. Sigh….Thanks to Kong’s friend we had lunchie @ a well-known shop selling the famous Seremban ‘siu pau’ and other very very nice tarts and puffs….Yummy….
2.00pm
started our journey back to KL. Me- feeling a bit tired and got a bit of flu with a nice memory……And the next day will be my first day at my new job…..

Lean on me
Lean on me- Bill Withers
Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain, we all have sorrow.
But if we are wise, we know that there's always tomorrow.
Lean on me, when you're not strong and I'll be your friend.
I'll help you carry on, for it won't be long 'til I'm gonna need
somebody to lean on.
Please swallow your pride, if have things you need to borrow.
For no one can fill those needs that you won't let show.
You just call on me brother when you need a hand.
We all need somebody to lean on.
I just might have a problem that you'll understand.
We all need somebody to lean on.
Lean on me when you't not strong, and I'll be your friend.
I'll help you carry on, for it won't be long 'til I'm gonna' need
somebody to lean on.
You just call on me brother if you need a friend.
We all need somebody to lean on. I just might have a problem that you'll understand.
We all need somebody to lean on.
If there is a load you have to bear that you can't carry.
I'm right up the road, I'll share your load if you just call me.
Call me ( if you need a friend)
We need someone to lean on sometimes. Someone to share your worries and uncertainties. Somebody who knows our streanghts and weaknessess. Someone who'll be there to share laughters or tears.
All my love and thanks to those who have been there for me in times of need...Million thanks....

Catch me if you can
Watched another Tom Hanks' movie the other day. It was a nice movie about the real life story of Frank Abagnale Jr, a famous conman in the 60's. The character is played by Leonardo Dicaprio. Tom Hanks' role in the movie is not real. Purely created for the movie. For more details on the movie and the truth behind it, click on the link attached. http://www.chasingthefrog.com/reelfaces/catchmeifyoucan.php

Feeling a bit down and cranky today...Thousand apologies to my mum for putting her through it...Sometimes you just don't feel like doing anything and nothing seems to be right and you just piss everybody off and you yourself get pissed off by evrything that gets in your way...hmmm...PMS? nah....just woke up the wrong side of bed. My mum will always be the one to have to put up with me and she always does. Thanks mum...I'll try not to do it anymore...

Tom Hanks
Watched The Terminal and The Ladykillers these past few days, both starring Tom Hanks. One thing for sure, Tom Hanks's never fail to make me cry or laugh. He can potray all his characters so well. Who can forget the unforgettable Forrest Gump, or the FEDex-castaway or even his ball-Wilson....He's such a great actor. *thumbs up* for both his latest movies. One of my fave actor of all time...

Broken Hearted Me
Anne Murray
Written by Randy Goodrum
Peaked at #12 on the pop chart in 1979 and was a #1 on the Country chart.
Every now and then I cry
Every night you keep stayin' on my mind
All my friends say I'll survive
It just takes time
CHORUS
But I don't think time is gonna heal this broken heart
No I don't see how it can if it's broken all apart
A million miracles could never stop the pain
Or put all the pieces together again
No I don't think time is gonna heal this broken heart
No I don't see how it can while we are still apart
And when you hear this song
I hope that you will see
That time won't heal a broken-hearted me
Every day is just the same
Playin' games, different lovers, different names
They keep sayin' I'll survive
It just takes time
CHORUS
Time won't heal a broken-hearted me

Resident Evil
Well, having played all RE1 to RE3, I’ll definitely not miss any RE movies (rumours have it that the third movie is on the way). Sad to say though, that both movies are not quite up to their standard but they are well worth watching if you are an ardent fan of RE. Cool actions, cool creatures (I like the ‘lickers’) and cool chicks (I prefer Alice than Jill). Some of the characters are created just for the movie while some are taken from the game. RE is one of the most popular games for its genre. The plot between each game is well planned and one can expect some twists and turns throughout the games. After watching the movie, feel like want to play the games all over again (though some are exclusive for Nintendo and PSs)…..
